| The use of Sun-North's insulated poly chimney present many advantages
over the continuous ridge opening. It reduces material and construction
costs and reduces or eliminates exposure of members and deterioration
in the ridge opening. Chimneys are also more convenient for restriction
of bird entry to the building as well as snow and rain. Chimneys exhaust
stale air and gasses through the roof and new fresh air is drawn in through
the sidewall openings. Chimney operation is not affected by wind direction.
Adjustable baffles are designed for easy modification to the opening area of the chimney when required. Chimney baffles can be operated singly or grouped together for automatic or manual adjustment. Insulated flues improve the air flow and reduce condensation. Insulated chimneys are a benefit to all types of naturally ventilated livestock housing, including dairy, hog and poultry. Sun-North Systems' chimneys come in three different inside dimensions and various custom lengths. White is the standard colour for the one-piece poly roof however custom colours are available. Each chimney comes with metal roof flashing (bone white), all hardware included and can be shipped assembled or knock-down. |
