When power exhaust is required, it has been proven that vertical chimney exhaust fans are far more efficient then similar fans that are wall mounted. Vertical chimney fans are more efficient because they do not have to overcome prevailing winds, they make use of naturally rising warm room air and they are not restricted by an outside hood. Chimney fans are also able to be more centrally located in a room.
Sun-North manufactures 18” and 24” diameter doubled walled (inside and outside) moulded power poly chimney with an insulated core. The Sun-North power chimney has an insulation R factor of R5 which prevents condensation forming on the inside of the chimney and then dripping into the room. Each Sun-North power chimney is powered by a variable speed multi-fan motor with non corrosive blades and comes with all stainless steel mounting hardware.
